Responsible for all aspects of plant operations at Hydrite’s synthetic organic manufacturing site including thesupervision of 6 departments including distillation, batch and continuous reactors, thin film evaporators, process
engineering, and maintenance. Responsibilities also included project management, maintaining GMP standards for
pharmaceutical additive, scheduling of production, Process Safety Management, MRP and MRPII, and safety and
regulatory compliance. Assisted in new product and process development, process hazard and operability reviews, and
process hazard analysis.
Highlights include:

  • Reduced OSHA incident rate from 18 to 2.87
  • Increased capacity utilization from less than 65% to over 96% while increasing production rates 6 fold
  • Successfully converted to a 7 day per week, 24 hours per day operation
  • Managed increasing sales of 308% over two years
  • Increased net margins by 55%

  • New, $900,000 food process, CIP cleaner manufacturing, facility expansion completed on time and at budget
  • Successful implementation of MRP II software. Implementation used as an example of a textbook case by the software firm
